An ace performance by J.P. Stevenson carried the Medicine Hat Mavericks (5-1) to a 4-0 win over the Okotoks Dawgs on Friday at Athletic Park.
Stevenson kept the Okotoks Dawgs (3-4) off the board during his seven innings of work. Stevenson allowed two hits, one walk and struck out five.
Anthony Willeford ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked none, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
