Daniel Stack had two extra base hits, sparking the Lake Norman Copperheads (24-17) to a 9-4 victory over the Statesville Owls (22-20) on Sunday at Hopewell HS.
He homered in the fourth inning and doubled in the eighth inning.The Statesville Owls were led by Colby Dishmond's hitting. Dishmond went 1-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He homered in the second inning.
Josh Bottenfield got the win, running his season record to 6-2. He allowed three runs over six innings. He struck out three, walked two and surrendered five hits.
Tucker Beane (4-3) took the loss for the Statesville Owls. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked two and struck out two.
