Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Friday as the New Brunswick (3-0) outscored the Saskatchewan (2-1) 9-8 in seven innings.

The two teams combined for 16 hits in the game.

The New Brunswick scored three runs in the first inning to build an early lead. The New Brunswick scored in the first on a two-run single by Adam Estey and a groundout by Ryan Farrell.

Estey racked up two RBIs on two hits for the New Brunswick.

Tyrel Poore improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the New Brunswick. Poore struck out four, walked one and gave up two hits.

Aden Grandberg couldn't get it done on the hill for the Saskatchewan, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
