A six-run explosion in the second inning lifted the Ontario (1-0) to a 9-0 win in seven innings over the British Columbia at BBoys Vaughan Grove one on Thursday.

The Ontario scored in the second on an RBI single by Lucas Parente, an RBI single by Cooper Davis, a two-run error, and a two-run error.

Davis got on base three times in the game for the Ontario. He scored one run and had one RBI.

The Ontario got the win thanks in large part to Harley Gollert's dominant, eight-strikeout performance. The Ontario's pitcher gave up just three hits over 3 1/3 shutout innings.

Cole Dalla-Zanna ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 1 2/3 innings, walked four and struck out four.
