Jon Testani went 2-3 as the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (9-6) took home a 6-4 victory over the Brockton Rox (12-4) in seven innings at Campanelli Stadium on Saturday.
He singled in the second inning and doubled in the seventh inning.Zack Short had a hot bat for the Brockton Rox. Short went 2-3, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the sixth inning.
Kyle Brenner got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He allowed four runs over 5 2/3 innings. Brenner struck out two, walked none and gave up seven hits.
Sam McKay ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
