A superb effort by Wes Rea hoisted the Bethesda Big Train (28-7) to a 13-6 win over the Herndon Braves (16-16) on Monday at Herndon High School.

Rea racked up six RBIs on two hits for the Bethesda Big Train. He homered in the first and fifth innings.

The Bethesda Big Train blew out the Herndon Braves thanks to 15 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Bethesda Big Train scored four runs in the seventh on the Bethesda Big Train scored in the seventh on a hit by pitch, a hit by pitch, , a single by Albee Weiss, and a single by Stephen Alemais.

The Bethesda Big Train got the win thanks in large part to Sean Labsan's dominant, 10-strikeout performance. Labsan allowed two earned runs, two hits and two walks over five innings.

Jacob Weston racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Herndon Braves. He singled in the fourth inning and homered in the sixth inning.

John Yoest couldn't get it done on the hill for the Herndon Braves, taking a loss. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
