The Bethesda Big Train (14-1) continued to pile up the runs on Monday, scoring five runs in the last three innings, en route to an easy 15-1 win over the D.C. Grays (7-10) at Washington Nationals Academy.
And a three-run home run by Tim Yandel helped the Bethesda Big Train score four runs in the seventh. The Bethesda Big Train had three hits in the inning.
Ryne Willard racked up four RBIs on four hits for the Bethesda Big Train. He singled in the second inning, homered in the fifth inning, and doubled in the sixth and eighth innings.
Jake Valdez had an impressive outing against the D.C. Grays' lineup. The D.C. Grays managed just three hits off of the the Bethesda Big Train's pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out five during his six innings of work.
Eric Urry reached base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the first inning.
Thomas Broyles ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked one and struck out four.
