The Lane (30-17) built an early lead against the Bellevue (28-22), scoring four runs in the first inning, en route to a 6-3 win on Sunday at David Story Field.
Forrest Garcia racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Lane. He singled in the first, fifth, and seventh innings.
Jackson Bertsch picked up the win for the Lane. Bertsch pitched 7 2/3 innings and allowed two earned runs, four hits and three walks while striking out five.
Jeff Wyner ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
