An ace performance by Parker Sherrell hoisted the Lane (29-17) to a 7-0 win over the Treasure Valley (35-12) on Saturday at David Story Field.
Sherrell kept the Treasure Valley off the board during his eight innings of work. Sherrell struck out eight and allowed three walks and three hits.
The Lane blew out the Treasure Valley thanks to 10 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Lane scored three runs in the fifth on an RBI single by Forrest Garcia, a sacrifice fly by Erik Long, and an RBI single by Blake Montague.
The Lane were led by Garcia's hitting. Garcia went 2-3, drove in one and scored two runs.
Shawn Powers was charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
