The Douglas Diablos (27-36) and the White Sands Pupfish (28-33) each put runners in scoring position on Friday, but the Douglas Diablos capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 9-4 win.
Larry Rodrguez put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Douglas Diablos. He singled in the sixth inning and doubled in the fourth and ninth innings.
Nate Enriquez had a hot bat for the White Sands Pupfish. Enriquez went 2-5 and drove in one. He singled in the third inning and tripled in the fifth inning.
Matt Cook (6-3) took the loss for the White Sands Pupfish. He allowed nine runs in nine innings, walked one and struck out nine.
The Douglas Diablos were sparked by Leandro Mateo and Rodrguez, who teamed up for six hits and two RBIs.
