The Darmouth (0-1) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 5-3 to the Qu��bec (1-0) on Thursday.

A two-run single by Abraham Toro gave the Qu��bec the lead in the sixth inning.

Jerome Duchesneau reached base two times. He tripled in the first inning.

Louis-Karl Pedneault pitched lights out for the Qu��bec. The Darmouth managed just one hit off of Pedneault, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his three innings of work.

Kaleb Beaver racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Darmouth. He homered in the second inning.

Jason Mosher (0-1) took the loss for the Darmouth. He lasted just five innings, walked seven, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
