The Ontario offense too much for the Saskatchewan in 19-6 rout

Story by Narrative Science.

The Ontario (3-1) jumped out to an early lead on the Saskatchewan (1-3) and captured a 19-6 victory on Saturday at Field two.

With 10 runs in the first three innings, the Ontario left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

A two-run single by Dale Kryway in the first inning and a groundout by Curtis Lambkin, a double by Eric Cunningham, a sacrifice fly by Kevin Mailloux, and a single by Mitch Delaney during the second inning supplied the early offense for the Ontario.

Delaney racked up five RBIs on three hits for the Ontario.

Quinn Hersikorn racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Saskatchewan. He homered in the third inning.

Brandon Lindquist got his first win for the Ontario despite allowing six runs over six innings. Lindquist struck out 11, walked three and gave up seven hits.

Cooper Skjeie (0-1) took the loss for the Saskatchewan. He allowed six runs in 1 2/3 innings, walked three and struck out none.
