Laura Lesowske was cold coming off the bench, but Lesowske warmed up quickly as Lesowske stroked a key pinch-hit single in the seven to lead the Mt. Hood (39-3) to a 2-1 win over the Clackamas (38-6) on Saturday.
With the score tied at one in the seventh inning, Lesowske came to the plate and singled.
Ann-Marie Guischer baffled the Clackamas, striking out six batters. Guischer allowed no earned runs on five hits and three walks over 5 2/3 innings.
Kristen Crawford got the win, running his season record to 19-1. Crawford struck out none, walked none and gave up one hit.
Breann Morrison ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed one run.
