First-inning rally sparks blowout win for the Columbia Basin, 10-3

The Columbia Basin (28-14) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the Treasure Valley, recording a 10-3 victory on Saturday at Elks Memorial .

The game was decided quickly as the Columbia Basin exerted their will early with nine runs in the first three innings.

A two-run home run by Kenton Brunson, an RBI single by Shad Rogers, an RBI single by Nick Savas, an RBI single by Jordan Feeney, an RBI single by Dalton Johnson, an RBI single by Joey Cotto, a sacrifice fly by Brunson, and an RBI single by Jesse Wantland in the first inning fueled the Columbia Basin's offense early.

Brunson racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Columbia Basin.

Alex Bradford was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the Columbia Basin batters and allowing one run.

Ryker Ford recorded his second win of the year for the Columbia Basin. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out four, walked three and surrendered four hits.

James McDonald ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in one-third of an inning, walked four and struck out none.
