An ace performance by Tori Belton hoisted the Douglas (25-6) to an 8-1 win in seven innings over the Highline (18-19) on Friday at Delta Park.
Belton's eight strikeouts helped the Douglas to the victory. Belton allowed no earned runs, three hits and one walk over seven innings.
The Douglas blew out the Highline thanks to 10 hits, including zero extra base hits. An error and a three-run home run by Sydney Brown helped the Douglas score four runs in the fourth. The Douglas had two hits in the inning.
Brown racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Douglas.
Kayla Andrus couldn't get it done on the hill for the Highline, taking a loss. He allowed eight runs in six innings, walked two and struck out one.
