Cassidy Edwards went 4-4 at the plate as the Clackamas (36-5) took home a 6-2 victory over the Everett (13-26) in seven innings at Delta Park on Friday.
He tripled in the first inning and singled in the second, fourth, and sixth innings.The Everett had no answer for Alyson Boytz, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Everett managed just two hits off of the the Clackamas' pitcher, who allowed two earned runs, walked two and struck out five during his seven innings of work.
Minna Ward reached base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the fourth inning.
Alisa Ortega ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his seventeenth loss of the year. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked two and struck out one.
