The Alberta (3-3) pounded the Quebec (3-3) on Saturday 9-2 at Cairns Field in eight innings.

Jordan Parranto put together a nice outing. The Quebec managed just one hit off of Parranto, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his three innings of work.

Jared Kennedy got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed two runs over four innings. Kennedy struck out five, walked three and gave up four hits.

Hugo Thibault ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
