The British Columbia (4-1) rolled over the Alberta (2-3) 9-3 on Friday at Cairns Field after a six-run rally in the second inning.

The British Columbia scored in the second on a single by Tom Melenchuk, an RBI single by Hayden Jaco, an error, a fielder's choice, a single by Jesse Mycock, an error, , and a double by Tanner Rempel.

Rempel had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits.

Austin Watamaniuk had a hot bat for the Alberta. Watamaniuk went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the third, fifth, and seventh innings.

Tony Pharand improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the British Columbia. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out one, walked two and surrendered six hits.

Jacob Melville couldn't get it done on the bump for the Alberta, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in two innings, walked two and struck out two.
