Astoria Rice went 2-2 as the Skagit Valley (12-28) took home a 6-1 victory over the Edmonds (9-16) in seven innings on Tuesday.
He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fourth inning.The Skagit Valley relied on Brie Lopez to eat up innings en route to the win. Lopez allowed one earned run, seven hits and no walks while striking out one over seven innings of work.
Sierra Card (4-8) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked four and struck out three.
