The Tacoma (33-2) and the Lower Columbia (25-12) both had scoring chances on Monday, but it was the Tacoma that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 6-4 win.

Kyle Rossman was effective even in defeat, mowing down six the Tacoma batters and allowing three runs.

Justin Vernia improved to 8-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Tacoma. He allowed three runs over six innings. He struck out one, walked two and surrendered seven hits.

Trevor Lane couldn't get it done on the hill for the Lower Columbia, taking a loss. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed three runs.
