Carly Hershberger was cold coming off the bench, but Hershberger warmed up quickly as Hershberger stroked a key pinch-hit single in the five to lead the Centralia (20-11) to a 9-6 win over the Grays Harbor (6-18) on Wednesday at Bishop Athletic Complex .

With the Centralia leading by two, Hershberger came to the plate and singled.

Caitlyn Paul boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 3-3 day at the plate to pace the Centralia. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the third and fifth innings.

Chelsy Stewart had a hot bat for the Grays Harbor. Stewart went 2-3 and scored two runs. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Even though Brooke Williams allowed six runs over seven innings he still recorded the victory, his ninth of the season. He struck out three, walked two and surrendered seven hits.

Jenny Benn (6-9) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed nine runs in seven innings, walked two and struck out three.
