The Pierce (18-9) beat the Lower Columbia (23-10) 7-2 in seven innings on Monday at David Story Field behind Dalton Elmer, who had two extra base hits.
He doubled in the second inning, homered in the sixth inning, and singled in the seventh inning.Cole Uvila picked up the win for the Pierce. Uvila pitched 5 2/3 innings and allowed no earned runs, four hits and four walks while striking out three.
Tyler Gulbransen couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Lower Columbia, taking a loss. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
Colton Nash, Luke Heyer and Elmer helped lead the Pierce. They combined for five hits and six RBIs.
