Luke Heyer went 4-4 at the plate as the Pierce (17-9) took home an 8-6 victory over the Lower Columbia (23-9) at David Story Field on Monday.
He doubled in the fourth inning, singled in the fifth and seventh innings, and homered in the eighth inning.It was a good day at the plate for the Lower Columbia's Justin Jacobs. Jacobs went 4-5 and scored three runs. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fifth, seventh, and ninth innings.
Cobi Beal recorded his fourth win for the Pierce even though he allowed five runs over six innings. He struck out four, walked one and surrendered 11 hits.
Kyle Rossman ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
