The Green River (6-13) and the Highline (9-16) both had scoring chances on Monday, but it was the Green River that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 6-5 win.
Sydney Rothenberger paced the Highline at the plate. Rothenberger went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fifth inning and homered in the seventh inning.
The Green River had no answer for Emma Seymer, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Green River managed just one hit off of Seymer, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.
Rachel Barcena got his third win for the Green River despite allowing five runs over seven innings. Barcena struck out four, walked seven and gave up 11 hits.
Kayla Andrus couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Highline, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked two and struck out three.
