Katelyn Geyer had two extra base hits, sparking the Spokane (23-11) to a 6-5 victory in seven innings over the Yakima Valley (14-15) on Saturday at Art Wright - Kent.

Andrea Miller got a hit in each of his three at bats. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the third and seventh innings.

Haylie Van Laethem got the win, running his season record to 8-6. He allowed one run over two innings. Van Laethem struck out one, walked one and gave up two hits.

April Shipley (3-5) took the loss for the Yakima Valley. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed five runs.

Sydnie Malloy, Tasji Urhausen, Shawnee Zink and Geyer helped lead the Spokane. They combined for eight hits and six RBIs.
