The Bellevue (16-14) and the Everett (12-15) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Bellevue that eventually took advantage of them in a 4-1 win at Everett Memorial.
It was a good day at the plate for the Bellevue's Joakim Soderqvist. Soderqvist went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the fifth inning.
Jeff Wyner struck out eight hitters en route to the the Bellevue win. Wyner allowed one earned run, nine hits and no walks over nine innings.
Jake Thomas was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the Bellevue batters and allowing zero runs.
Tanner Braun (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
