The Pierce drub the South Puget Sound, 12-5

The South Puget Sound (0-24) didn't put up much of a fight on Tuesday, as the Pierce (15-15) cruised to a blowout 12-5 win in seven innings at Yauger Park.

The Pierce scored five runs in the fourth on a sacrifice fly by Brittany Surratt, a triple by Molly LaMotte, a groundout by Tricia Bonifacio, a single by Brittanie Halquist, an RBI single by Maddy Smith, and an RBI single by Courtney Cox.

Halquist racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Pierce.

Jordanne Krumpols got a hit in each of his three at bats. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the first and seventh innings.

Kelsi Goodwin recorded his fifth win of the year for the Pierce. He allowed two runs over five innings. Goodwin struck out three, walked two and gave up five hits.

Amanda Rupright (0-22) took the loss for the South Puget Sound. He allowed 12 runs in seven innings, walked two and struck out one.
