The Columbia Basin (11-16) failed to take advantage of Courtney Swan's effort at the plate on Friday, losing 14-7 to the Treasure Valley (21-10) in seven innings at CBC Softball.
Swan rocked the Treasure Valley with two home runs. Swan went 3-3 in the game with four RBIs and two runs scored. Swan homered in the second and seventh innings.
The Treasure Valley turned the win into a rout with six runs in the sixth.
Lindsey Stover racked up five RBIs on three hits for the Treasure Valley. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the first and seventh innings.
Bailey Bennett got the win, running his season record to 8-5. He allowed four runs over five innings. Bennett struck out none, walked two and gave up six hits.
Kristin Stanley couldn't get it done on the bump for the Columbia Basin, taking a loss. He allowed eight runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked five and struck out one.
