The Yakima Valley (12-11) didn't have a chance on Sunday, as the Mt. Hood (24-0) won in blowout fashion, 9-1 in five innings at Skagit Valley.

The Mt. Hood scored three runs in the fifth on a groundout by Megan Reed, an RBI double by Emma Bird, and an RBI single by SheaLee Lindsey.

Teauna Hughes racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Mt. Hood. He homered in the fourth inning.

Ann-Marie Guischer's nine strikeouts helped the Mt. Hood to the victory. Guischer allowed one earned run on four hits and three walks over five innings.

Kayla Reynolds (9-5) took the loss for the Yakima Valley. He allowed nine runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked five and struck out six.
