The Spokane (19-10) shut the door early on the Grays Harbor (2-13), capturing a 10-2 victory on Saturday at Skagit Valley.

With nine runs in the first three innings, the Spokane left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

A two-run error during the first inning and a two-run double by Shawnee Zink and an RBI double by Morgan Mays in the second inning helped the Spokane put some runs on the board early.

Zink racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Spokane.

Shalaina Duford improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Spokane. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered seven hits.

Jenny Benn (2-4) took the loss for the Grays Harbor. He allowed 10 runs in four innings, walked two and struck out four.
