The Lower Columbia (15-5) beat the Pierce 13-5 in five innings on Wednesday at Heritage Recreation Center after a seven-run explosion in the fifth inning.
Kuulei Siolo racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Lower Columbia. He homered in the fifth inning.
Brittanie Halquist racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Pierce (9-10). He singled in the first and third innings and homered in the fifth inning.
Julia Breidt recorded his fourth win for the Lower Columbia even though he allowed five runs over five innings. Breidt struck out two, walked four and gave up five hits.
Kelsi Goodwin was charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed 13 runs in five innings, walked two and struck out one.
