Both the Worcester Bravehearts (15-6) and the Pittsfield Suns (10-10) put runners aboard on Thursday, but it was the Worcester Bravehearts that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 7-6 win at Fitton Field.

Andy Lack boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 3-3 day at the plate to pace the Worcester Bravehearts. He doubled in the first and third innings and singled in the sixth inning.

Zack Tower had a hot bat for the Pittsfield Suns. Tower went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fourth inning.

Aaron Doughty improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Worcester Bravehearts. Doughty struck out one, walked none and gave up two hits.

Blake Drew couldn't get it done on the bump for the Pittsfield Suns, taking a loss. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
