Early lead gives the Spokane easy victory over the Columbia Basin, 10-2

The Spokane (16-9) rolled over the Columbia Basin (8-11) 10-2 on Saturday at Spokane Falls Community College after an eight-run rally in the second inning.

Shayde Urhausen put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Spokane. He doubled in the first and second innings and singled in the second inning.

Gabby Meza pitched lights out for the Columbia Basin. The Spokane managed just one hit off of the the Columbia Basin's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his three innings of work.

Haylie Van Laethem got the win, running his season record to 3-4. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out four, walked one and surrendered five hits.

Janelle Randles was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed 10 runs in one inning, walked four and struck out one.

The Spokane were sparked by Urhausen and Katelyn Geyer, who teamed up for five hits and five RBIs.
