The Tacoma jump on the Green River early and coast to 20-2 win

The Tacoma (23-1) jumped out to an early lead on the Green River (4-21) and captured a 20-2 victory on Sunday at Heritage Park.

The game was decided quickly as the Tacoma exerted their will early with 11 runs in the first three innings.

An RBI single by Keylen Steen, an error, and a sacrifice fly by JJ Pino in the first inning and an RBI double by Matthew Hirsch, , a sacrifice fly by Steen, a three-run single by Derik Bontempo, a triple by Jeremy Spring, a hit by pitch, and a fielder's choice during the second inning fueled the Tacoma's offense early.

Spring racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Tacoma.

Joey Gamache improved to 6-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Tacoma. He allowed one run over five innings. He struck out four, walked two and surrendered five hits.

Yuki Hikichi (0-2) took the loss for the Green River. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
