The Mt. Hood (17-0) beat the SW Oregon (17-6) 2-1 in seven innings on Sunday at Saints Field behind Kasidee Lemberger, who went 2-3.
He singled in the second and fourth innings.The Mt. Hood relied on Kristen Crawford to eat up innings en route to the win. Crawford allowed one earned run, four hits and no walks while striking out four over seven innings of work.
A bright spot for the SW Oregon in the defeat was Jessica Myers, who allowed only two runs while striking out eight.
Samantha Burks couldn't get it done on the bump for the SW Oregon, taking a loss. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed no runs.
