A walk-off single from Joey LaCugna brought home the winning run for the Santa Fe Fuego (39-20) in a 5-4 victory over the Taos Blizzard (19-37) in 11 innings at Fort Marcy Park on Saturday.

The Taos Blizzard couldn't get anything going so long as Brandon Gonella was on the hill. Gonella held the Taos Blizzard hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Cory Deigan got the win, running his season record to 1-0. Deigan struck out one, walked none and gave up one hit.

Connor Sullivan couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Taos Blizzard, taking a loss. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed one run.
