The Trinidad Triggers (35-25) and the Taos Blizzard (22-41) each put runners in scoring position on Tuesday, but the Trinidad Triggers capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out an 11-6 win at Taos Tundra.
It was a good day at the plate for the Trinidad Triggers' K.C. Judge. Judge went 3-5, drove in one and scored one run. He tripled in the fifth inning and singled in the seventh and eighth innings.
Daniel Sharp had an impressive outing against the Taos Blizzard's lineup. The Taos Blizzard managed just one hit off of Sharp, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his two innings of work.
Dominic SanFelippo racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Taos Blizzard. He tripled in the eighth inning.
Josh Tols got the win, running his season record to 5-0. He allowed three runs over five innings. Tols struck out five, walked one and gave up eight hits.
Mike Straub ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked seven and struck out two.
