The Trinidad Triggers outdone by Mendoza and the Las Vegas Train Robbers, 9-6

Brett Mendoza had four RBIs as the Las Vegas Train Robbers (5-11) took home a 9-6 victory over the Trinidad Triggers (7-7) at Central Park on Thursday.

He doubled in the sixth and eighth innings.

Josh Tols brought the heat against the Trinidad Triggers during his outing. Tols held the Trinidad Triggers hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four.

Despite the loss, the Trinidad Triggers' Kolt Browder dominated the Las Vegas Train Robbers' batters, giving up zero runs and striking out five.

Will Leonard racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Trinidad Triggers. He singled in the second and fourth innings and doubled in the ninth inning.

Ryan Ward improved to 1-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Las Vegas Train Robbers. He allowed three runs over six innings. He struck out five, walked three and surrendered seven hits.

Kevin McGovern couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Trinidad Triggers, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked three and struck out nine.
