Sydney Dixon was cold coming off the bench, but Dixon warmed up quickly as Dixon stroked a key pinch-hit single in the four to lead the Everett (8-11) to a 14-7 win over the Grays Harbor (2-10) on Saturday at Skagit Valley.
With the Everett trailing by one in the fourth inning, Dixon came to the plate and singled, plating Dani Norsby.
The biggest inning for the Everett was the fourth. In the inning the Everett scored eight runs.
The Everett were led by a flawless day at the dish by Daisy Salgado, who went 3-3 against the Grays Harbor's pitching. He singled in the first inning.
Dixon got his third win for the Everett despite allowing seven runs over 3 1/3 innings. Dixon struck out one, walked one and gave up 11 hits.
Jenny Benn couldn't get it done on the bump for the Grays Harbor, taking a loss. He allowed 14 runs in four innings, walked five and struck out two.
The Everett hammered the Grays Harbor pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 12 hits, 11 RBIs and 10 runs scored.
