Jory Spencer was cold coming off the bench, but Spencer warmed up quickly as Spencer stroked a key pinch-hit single in the one to lead the Blue Mountain (3-10) to a 9-8 win over the Big Bend (3-11) on Monday at BBCC Softball Field .

With the game scoreless in the first inning Spencer came to the plate and singled.

Spencer racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Blue Mountain.

The two teams combined for 17 runs and 21 hits, including zero extra base hits.

The Blue Mountain scored five runs in the first inning to build an early lead.

Maggie Rust recorded his second win for the Blue Mountain even though he allowed six runs over two innings. Rust struck out one, walked none and gave up seven hits.

Nicole Cameron (1-4) took the loss for the Big Bend. He allowed seven runs in two innings, walked two and struck out one.

Savanna Zarate, Spencer, Rayne Spencer and Kaytie Zellner helped lead the Blue Mountain. They combined for eight hits and eight RBIs.
