An RBI single by Janie Carr, an RBI double by Destinee Chang, and an RBI single by Jordan Martin during the first inning and an error, an error, a two-run double by Kelsey Linn, an error, an error, an RBI double by Rebecca Christianson, and a groundout by Taylor Terry in the second inning helped the Chemeketa put some runs on the board early.Linn racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Chemeketa.
Jessica Hotaling held the Grays Harbor scoreless during his five innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on two hits while ringing up two.
Heather Dublanko (0-3) took the loss for the Grays Harbor. He allowed 14 runs in two innings, walked two and struck out none.
The Chemeketa easily handled the Grays Harbor pitching as six hitters combined for 15 hits, 11 RBIs and 14 runs scored.
