Ryan Schmitten kept the Grays Harbor (1-14) off the board during his six innings of work and the Pierce (8-9) beat the Grays Harbor, 4-0.
Schmitten allowed three hits, one walk and struck out three.
Leo Valenti was solid at the plate for the Pierce. Valenti went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the third and sixth innings.
Derik Rubin was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
