Darrien Moran hopes every outing could go as well as Sunday, as Moran struck out 10 batters to carry the Pierce (7-9) to a 10-2 victory over the Grays Harbor (1-13) at Mt Tahoma High School .

Seven runs in the opening three innings allowed the Pierce to easily put away the Grays Harbor. An RBI triple by Dillon Gee and a groundout by Colton Nash in the first inning and an RBI single by Brett Oyer, an RBI single by Jeff Nelson, an RBI single by Nash, and an RBI single by Nash during the second inning supplied the early offense for the Pierce.

The Pierce were led by Josh McCoy's hitting. McCoy went 4-5 and scored two runs. He singled in the second, third, fourth, and sixth innings.

Nathan Griffith was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in two innings, walked none and struck out none.
