An awesome effort by Jesse Schafer spurred the Spokane (15-9) to a 16-4 win in five innings over the Big Bend (3-17) on Tuesday at BBCC Softball Field .
Schafer hit two home runs for the Spokane. Schafer went 3-4 in the game with four RBIs and three runs scored. Schafer homered in the fourth inning.
The biggest inning for the Spokane was the fifth. In the inning the Spokane scored nine runs.
Tiffany King-Phillips got a hit in each of his three at bats. He homered in the first inning and singled in the second and fifth innings.
Kelly Taylor recorded his third win of the year for the Spokane. He allowed four runs over five innings. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered 10 hits.
Emma Stephens couldn't get it done on the bump for the Big Bend, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked two and struck out none.
