The Spokane (14-9) shut the door early on the Big Bend (3-16), capturing an 8-0 victory on Tuesday at BBCC Softball Field .

A sacrifice fly by Lexi Miller, an RBI single by Shawnee Zink, a two-run error, and an RBI single by Alex Shuster in the first inning and an RBI single by Miller and an RBI single by Miller during the second inning helped the Spokane put some runs on the board early.The Spokane were led by Shayde Urhausen's hitting. Urhausen went 2-3, drove in one and scored two runs. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the second inning.
Haylie Van Laethem held the Big Bend scoreless during his five innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out one.
Nicole Cameron (1-7) took the loss for the Big Bend. He allowed eight runs in five innings, walked four and struck out none.
