Extra-inning thriller favors the Anchorage Bucs, 3-1 winners over the Peninsula Oilers

The Anchorage Bucs (22-11) put in a full day's work in an 11-inning, 3-1 win over the Peninsula Oilers (16-15) Sunday at Coral Seymour Memorial Park.

With the score tied at one in the eleventh inning, Tyler Ware came to the plate and doubled, plating Dylan Butler and Grant Palmer.

Mark Krueger had two extra-base hits for the Anchorage Bucs. He doubled in the second and fourth innings and singled in the eighth inning.

Bret Marks handled the Peninsula Oilers' lineup with ease, racking up 10 strikeouts. Marks allowed one earned run on seven hits and one walk over seven innings.

A bright spot for the Peninsula Oilers in the defeat was Dallas DeVrieze, who allowed only one run while striking out six.

Devon Stewart recorded his fourth win of the year for the Anchorage Bucs. Stewart struck out two, walked two and gave up one hit.

Cody Richey (2-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
