The Chugiak Chinooks (6-20) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 3-2 to the Anchorage Bucs (19-10) on Monday.
An RBI single by Grant Palmer gave the Anchorage Bucs the lead in the sixth inning.
The Anchorage Bucs were led by a flawless day at the dish by Palmer, who went 2-2 against the Chugiak Chinooks' pitching. He singled in the second and sixth innings.
Joie Dunyon had an impressive outing against the Chugiak Chinooks' lineup. The Chugiak Chinooks managed just three hits off of Dunyon, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out two during his four innings of work.
Kyle McDorman (1-2) took the loss for the Chugiak Chinooks. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out five, and allowed three runs.
