Gage West went 2-2 and hit a home run as the Anchorage Bucs (17-9) took home a 4-3 victory over the Anchorage Glacier Pilots (15-9) in seven innings at Mulcahy Field on Friday.
He singled in the fifth innings and homered in the seventh inning.The Anchorage Bucs got the win thanks in large part to Trevor Lacosse's dominant, 10-strikeout performance. Lacosse allowed two earned runs on four hits and one walk over six innings.
Ryan Dobson did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Anchorage Glacier Pilots, reaching base two times. He singled in the fourth inning.
Grant Gunning was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed one run.
