The Matsu Miners outdone by Viers and the Anchorage Glacier Pilots, 9-5

Kevin Viers had two extra base hits, helping the Anchorage Glacier Pilots (14-8) to a 9-5 victory over the Matsu Miners (14-8) on Wednesday at Mulcahy Field.

He homered in the first inning and tripled in the sixth inning.

Dayne Wunderlich racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Matsu Miners. He homered in the fourth inning and doubled in the eighth inning.

Johnny York improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Anchorage Glacier Pilots. He struck out two, walked three and surrendered three hits.

Matthew Decker couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Matsu Miners, taking a loss. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed three runs.

The Anchorage Glacier Pilots were sparked by Viers and Ryan Dobson, who teamed up for five hits and five RBIs.
