The Anchorage Bucs escape the Peninsula Oilers behind Lacosse's 5 strikeouts, 8-0

An outstanding effort by Trevor Lacosse carried the Anchorage Bucs (12-4) to an 8-0 win over the Peninsula Oilers (10-2) on Tuesday at Mulcahy Field.

The Peninsula Oilers had no answer for Lacosse, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Peninsula Oilers managed just one hit off of Lacosse, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during his seven innings of work.

The Anchorage Bucs blew out the Peninsula Oilers thanks to 12 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Anchorage Bucs scored three runs in the fifth on the Anchorage Bucs scored in the fifth on a fielder's choice and a two-run double by Evan Powell.

Andy Crowley racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Anchorage Bucs.

Tyler Painton ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed one run.
